Editorial policy
Coastal Music Culture aims to be accurate, independent and clear about the difference between fact, interpretation and opinion. We revise the record when a meaningful error comes to light.
Accuracy and context
We check names, terminology and factual claims against suitable sources before publication. Musical interpretation is presented as interpretation, not as a settled fact. We avoid generalising from one song, artist or place to a whole region, and we make uncertainty visible when the available context does not support a firm conclusion.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to satisfy a commercial partner. A partnership does not buy favourable coverage, control over conclusions or a guaranteed article. Where a relationship could affect how a piece is understood, we explain it clearly.
Corrections
Readers can send a specific correction through the Contact page. We review the claim, amend material errors and clarify the article when a change affects its meaning. A correction should make clear what was changed; we do not silently preserve a known factual error.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, supplied or otherwise collaborative material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs or evidence.
