Write for us

We welcome pitches that bring a precise question to coastal music culture and give readers a fresh way to listen, compare or understand context. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What we welcome

Pitch original work about coastal soundscapes, musical traditions, local scenes, instruments or songcraft. Useful proposals might compare two ways a place appears in music, explain a musical choice a listener can notice, or trace how a tradition changes as it travels. We are interested in clear, bounded subjects, not claims that one example defines an entire coast.

What makes a strong pitch

Tell us the proposed angle, why it suits Coastal Music Culture, what the reader will take away and what sources or material would support the piece. Keep the scope realistic and distinguish what you can establish from what you interpret. Disclose relevant interests or relationships, and do not send confidential, copyrighted or sensitive material you are not entitled to share.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication. Please do not submit a complete article unless requested; the form is the route for proposals and follow-up questions.
